The Capitol Encore Academy, in compliance with the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction, follows procedures to locate children with disabilities residing in the State, regardless of the severity of their disability, and who are in need of special education and related services.

Mission
The mission of the Exceptional Children’s Department at The Capitol Encore Academy is to provide high quality educational services to students with disabilities by implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), utilizing research and standards-based interventions, instruction, and assessments in the least restrictive environment. Services are provided in accordance with the federal mandates of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act and North Carolina policies governing services for children with disabilities.
