Extracurricular Activities and Clubs


Extracurricular activities are great ways for TCEA Chameleons to explore different interests or learn a new skill!  Students can build positive relationships with their peers and adult role models.  There are also EKG clubs to look out for as well. Check out some of the activities we have to offer below!

National Senior Beta Club

Description: The National Senior Beta Club is an honor organization that promotes academic achievement, character, leadership, and service of the Capitol Encore Academy.  Members are 9th through 12th graders with academic excellence.  Besides endeavoring at all times to be of service to the Capitol Encore Academy and its students by upholding high standards of honesty and good citizenship, this National Senior Beta club shall – after consultation with and upon the approval of the principal of the school, undertake some worthwhile service projects.

Builder’s Club

Ages/Grades:  TCEA Middle School Students

Dates: 2nd and 4th Friday of Each Month; 3:30 to 4:30 pm

Description: Builders Club is a student-led community service organization that operates under TCEA regulations and draws its members from the middle school student body.  Builders Club is the largest service organization for middle school and junior high students, with more than 45,000 members worldwide.Members learn to work together and develop servant-leaders skills as they serve their school and community.

 

Chameleon Science Club

Advisors: Ms. Johnson, Ms. Alshaikli, Mr. Morris, Ms. Kovar

When: First Tuesday or every month from 3:20 pm-4:20 pm

Description: Students will have differentiated activities focused on the NC course of study. Students will engage in scientific experiments, networking opportunities, and participate in end of the year showcases.
